Remade to Remember Dad's love of John Deere

Pat (pictured above on her father's John Deer Snow plow) recently brought in a few of her dad's old John Deere jackets and one of her mom's old dresses to have custom infinity scarves made as special Christmas gifts. The jackets were in amazing condition- bright yellow, white, and green with the signature John Deere patch. The dress was a beautiful and well worn vintage piece.

We selected a few plaids from my collection that complimented the heirloom clothing and I carefully deconstructed each item to start sewing. Each scarf has a bit of every fabric and features its own John Deere patch.

Pat shared a few family photos of her father LeRoy who was the president of the North Dakota Implement Dealers Association and served as the ND Director on the board of the National Implement Dealers Association. She shared that "everything we owned was John Deere" and that her brother later joined LeRoy in the business.

It was such a pleasure to turn these meaningful items of clothing into items that can be worn & loved for years to come by LeRoy's three daughters. If you've been holding on to special clothing from a loved one, I'd love to chat about the many possibilities to transform those materials!
